Magna Mater is one of the cycles of works from Maria de Alvear, which deals with the question of the origin of culture and being human: Where is the animal in man already man, and when began the man not only to shape sounds, but to sing, to intone, to speak? Where is from report narrative, where narrative myth? Who made our first Knowledge and how did it come into human consciousness? Ana de Alvear’s video follows this question by emphasizing the aspect of temporality, of the passing time and growth.
